A former NCAA Division-II wrestling champion at Grand Canyon University, Tyrell Fortune has been a mainstay of Bellator. His wrestling background combined with his strength has led him to great success so far, with 14 wins in 18 fights, including eight wins via knockout. Fortune made his PFL debut in June, defeating Marcelo Golm via unanimous decision.
Sergei Bilostenniy has such a varied skill set having trained across a number of disciplines, including Muay Thai, pankration and Wushu Sanda, winning championships in each. Bilostenniy has won 12 of 15 fights so far, including seven of his last eight, with a 1-0 PFL record and 1-1 Bellator record thus far. Bilostenniy scored a unanimous decision win over Blagoy Ivanov in April.
This will be a rematch from an encounter the two had in Bellator in 2023, with Fortune winning via DQ due to punches to the back of the head. This will also be an Alternate Fight in the heavyweight division, with the winner having the chance to be ready on short notice for a fill-in if needed at the season’s conclusion.
